YMCA Youth & Family Services raised over $2,000 at our 1st annual talent show, “LIVE!” The event took place on December 17 at The Fillmore in downtown Silver Spring.
LIVE! was attended by over 60 guests who were there to support YMCA Youth & Family Services’ mentoring, counseling, case management, and youth development programs.
The Fillmore proved to be the perfect venue for an enjoyable evening of singing, poetry, dancing, and fun. Guests enjoyed the variety show, voted on various acts and bid in an exclusive silent auction.
The emcee was our very own Carson Henry, who had the honor of announcing Berbicara as the winner of the ‘open mic’ performance portion of the evening. Berbicara, comprised of Ilie Lichtenstein, Finn Cohen & Jack Kessler, serenaded the audience with covers of unique songs, but stole the show with their cover of “I Want You Back” by Lake St. Dive.
